Privacy policy
Last updated:
This policy explains what data Yutemi keeps, why, where, who it is shared with, and how you can view, correct or delete it. It applies to the Yutemi app for Android and iPhone and to this site.
Summary
- What we keep: your account (email and encrypted password) and what you create in the app: schedule, tasks, projects, habits, weekly review, focus sessions and journal.
- Why: so the app works and your data is on all your devices. Nothing else.
- Where: encrypted on your phone and in a cloud service (Supabase, region us-east-1).
- What we don't do: we don't sell your data, we don't show ads, we don't track you across other apps, and nobody reads your journal.
- How to delete everything: in the app, Profile and settings → Account → “Delete my account”.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Emanuel Álvarez Sánchez, an individual based in Bogotá, Colombia. For any question or request about your data, write to support@yutemi.app. The same address handles the inquiries and claims described in Your rights.
We process your data under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 (Ley 1581 de 2012) and its regulations.
What data we keep
This table is the complete list. If a piece of data is not here, Yutemi does not keep it.
| Data | Why | Where | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Email and password | Creating your account, confirming your email with a code, signing in, recovering your password and sending those emails in your language. The password is stored only as an encrypted digest (hash) that nobody can read. | In the cloud service. Also received by: Resend, Inc. | While your account exists. If you don't confirm your email within 7 days, the account is deleted automatically. |
| Sign-in logs | Account security: date of each sign-in and IP address, to detect unauthorized access and abuse. | In the cloud service | As long as the service provider keeps its security logs. |
| Profile and preferences Optional | Your name and onboarding goals, and your settings (visible hours, reminders, theme, language, widget, highlighted sections, “Share usage data”), so the app works the same on all your devices. | On your phone, encrypted. In the cloud service | While your account exists. |
| Schedule Optional | Showing and syncing your blocks, each day's intention, what repeats and how you planned each day. | On your phone, encrypted. In the cloud service | While your account exists. What you delete disappears from your devices, but stays in the service marked as deleted until you delete your account. |
| Tasks, subtasks and notes Optional | Showing and syncing your tasks and what you write in them. | On your phone, encrypted. In the cloud service | While your account exists. What you delete disappears from your devices, but stays in the service marked as deleted until you delete your account. |
| Projects Optional | Showing and syncing your projects. | On your phone, encrypted. In the cloud service | While your account exists. What you delete disappears from your devices, but stays in the service marked as deleted until you delete your account. |
| Habits and their logs Optional | Showing your habits, your streaks and what you checked off each day. | On your phone, encrypted. In the cloud service | While your account exists. What you delete disappears from your devices, but stays in the service marked as deleted until you delete your account. |
| Journal, mood and retained versions Sensitive Optional | Showing your texts, explicit mood and mood history; syncing them between devices and retaining divergent versions after conflicts. They are not used for advertising or model training. | On your phone, encrypted. In the cloud service | While your account exists. Sync conflicts can retain previous versions until you delete your account. |
| Weekly review Optional | Keeping your reviews, your decisions about pending items and your weekly priorities. | On your phone, encrypted. In the cloud service | While your account exists. What you delete disappears from your devices, but stays in the service marked as deleted until you delete your account. |
| Focus sessions Optional | Showing in your schedule and journal the task or block you focused on, with its start, duration, pauses and end. | On your phone, encrypted. In the cloud service | While your account exists. What you delete disappears from your devices, but stays in the service marked as deleted until you delete your account. |
| Usage data Optional | Measuring and improving the product: opening the app, finishing onboarding, viewing the Pro screen and reaching a limit. They are tied to an internal identifier, never to your email or what you write. You can turn them off with “Share usage data”. | In the cloud service | While your account exists. |
| Plan and subscription | Knowing whether you have Pro and until when, applying the Free plan limits and not repeating the same plan notices. The store tells us the subscription status; we never see your payment details. | In the cloud service. Also received by: RevenueCat, Inc., Apple Inc. y Google LLC | While your account exists. |
| Devices | A Yutemi-specific identifier for your device, its system (Android or iPhone) and its last connection, to apply one active device on the Free plan. | In the cloud service | While your account exists. |
| Notification token Optional | Sending you service notifications (for example, the end of the free trial) in your language. It only exists if you allow notifications. | In the cloud service. Also received by: 650 Industries, Inc. (Expo), Apple Inc. y Google LLC | While your account exists and the permission stays on. |
| Phone's calendar Optional | If you connect it, showing your events in the schedule and avoiding planning on top of them. They are read on the phone, never changed and never uploaded or synced. Your choice of calendars is stored only on the phone. | Only on your phone; never uploaded | No copies are kept: they are read each time you open the app. Reading stops when you remove the permission in your phone settings. |
| Copy on your phone | Letting the app work offline: an encrypted copy of everything above (including your journal), scheduled reminders with the task or habit title, and the summary the widget shows. | On your phone, encrypted | Until you sign out, delete your account or uninstall the app. |
Preferences, schedule, tasks, projects, habits, journal and everything else you create are optional: you decide what to write. Your email and password are required to have an account.
Your journal
The journal is your personal space and may contain sensitive information about your health, your emotions or your private life. That's why:
- Writing in it is optional. You don't have to tell us anything you don't want to, and the app works the same if you don't use it.
- It is only used to show it to you and sync it between your devices. Nobody reads it, it is not used for advertising, it is not analyzed to profile you, and it is not used to train artificial intelligence models.
- It is stored encrypted on your phone, travels encrypted to the cloud service, and only your account can read it.
- You may also voluntarily record a mood from 1 to 5, energy, emotions, factors and a note. Mood history uses only those explicit records; it does not analyze your text or infer causes.
- You can edit only the current day's record; past dates are read only. If two devices change the same text before syncing, we retain alternative versions readable in the entry and your export. They may remain until you delete your account.
- Your journal, moods and retained versions are deleted when you delete your account in the app.
Where your data is stored
- On your phone: an encrypted copy of your data so the app works offline. It is erased when you sign out, delete your account or uninstall the app.
- In the cloud: at Supabase, in the us-east-1 region, to sync your devices and so you don't lose anything if you change phones.
- Data always travels encrypted (HTTPS) between your phone and the service, and each account can only read its own data.
Notifications
Yutemi uses two kinds of notifications, and both need your permission:
- Phone notifications: the reminders you set up (morning, end of day, habits, tasks, blocks, weekly review and focus mode). Your own phone schedules them, and they may show the task or habit title.
- Service notifications: notices about your plan, for example when the free trial ends. To send them we keep your device's notification token and your language, and we send them through Expo and Apple's or Google's notification services. They don't include anything you wrote.
You can turn reminders off in Profile and settings → Reminders, or remove the permission in your phone's settings. The app keeps working without notifications.
In focus mode, the ongoing-session notification and “Remind me if I leave” only show your session and remind you of your task. Yutemi does not read what you do in other apps and does not record which apps you open.
Widgets
If you add Yutemi widgets to your home screen (Today, Habits and Week) or, on iPhone, to the Lock Screen, they show your blocks, your habits, your week and how many tasks are due, without unlocking the phone. Anyone who sees your phone can see them. So that the Lock Screen can show them, on iPhone this summary can be read after the first unlock once the phone is turned on. If you prefer, turn on “Hide names in widgets” in Profile and settings → Widgets: they will show “Block” and “Habit” instead of the titles. The summary is stored only on your phone, never includes your journal, and is deleted when you sign out.
Phone's calendar
If you connect your phone's calendar in Settings → Calendars, Yutemi reads your events (title, time, calendar and, if they have them, location and notes) to show them in your schedule and avoid planning on top of them. It needs your permission, which you can remove whenever you want in your phone settings. Events are read only on your phone: Yutemi never changes them, never deletes them, never uploads them to the cloud service and doesn't sync them with your other devices. Which calendars are shown is also stored only on the phone.
Pro subscription
- Payment is handled by the App Store or Google Play. Yutemi never sees or stores your card details.
- We use RevenueCat to know whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives your account's internal identifier (not your email), the purchase data the store sends and technical device data.
- We keep the plan status in your account (Free, trial, Pro), its dates and the events the store reports (start, renewal, cancellation), to give you Pro access on all your devices.
Usage data
To improve the product we measure a few general actions: opening the app, finishing onboarding, viewing the Pro screen and reaching a Free plan limit. This data:
- is tied to an internal identifier of your account, never to your email or name;
- never includes what you write in your tasks, your journal or any other content;
- is not used for advertising or combined with data from other apps;
- is stored in our own service: we don't use external analytics tools.
You can turn it off in Profile and settings → Account → “Share usage data”. Your subscription status is still recorded, because it is needed to give you Pro access.
What Yutemi doesn't do
- It doesn't access your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
- It doesn't read what you do inside other apps, doesn't record which apps you open, and doesn't block or restrict other apps.
- It doesn't see or store card details.
- It doesn't use your phone's advertising identifier, doesn't track you across apps, and doesn't sell or rent your data.
- It doesn't send promotional emails.
- This site uses no cookies or trackers (see the Cookie policy).
Who else processes your data
These providers process data on behalf of Yutemi, only for the stated purpose and with their own security measures. We don't share your data with anyone else, unless a competent authority requires it under the law.
| Provider | What it receives | Why | Country or region |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase Inc. | All your account data and everything you create in the app; sign-in logs. | Hosting, database, accounts and service functions. | United States (us-east-1, North Virginia) |
| Resend, Inc. | Your email address and the content of the message we send you (the confirmation code or the password recovery link). | Sending your account emails. | United States |
| RevenueCat, Inc. | Your account's internal identifier, your store purchases and receipts, and technical device data. | Managing the Pro subscription. | United States |
| 650 Industries, Inc. (Expo) | Your device's notification token and the notification text, without any of your content. | Sending service notifications. | United States |
| Apple Inc. y Google LLC | Your purchase and payment, and notification delivery. | Billing, notification delivery and app distribution. | Depends on each store |
International transfers
Some providers host or process data outside Colombia: Supabase in the us-east-1 region, and RevenueCat, Expo and Resend in the United States. This transfer is necessary to provide the service you request when you create your account, and it is made with providers that commit to protecting the data and using it only on behalf of Yutemi, as permitted by Law 1581 of 2012.
How long we keep it
- Your data is kept while your account exists.
- If you create an account and don't confirm your email with the code we send you within 7 days, the account and any associated data are deleted automatically.
- When you delete a task, block, project, habit or other item, it disappears from all your devices, but it is kept in the service marked as deleted, so the deletion reaches all your devices. It is removed completely when you delete your account, or earlier if you ask us (see Your rights).
- When you delete your account, your data is deleted immediately from the service and from your signed-in devices, and your RevenueCat record is deleted.
- The service's backups rotate automatically: your data disappears from them within 30 days at most.
- The App Store and Google Play keep their own purchase history under their policies.
- Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription: cancel it in the store (see Support).
Your rights
As the owner of your data, you have the right to know, update and correct it; to ask for it to be deleted; to revoke your authorization; to request proof of that authorization; to know how it has been used; and to file complaints with Colombia's Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC) once you have completed the process with us.
You can exercise most of them directly in the app:
- Know and take your data with you: Profile and settings → Account → “Export my data”.
- Correct it: edit data the app allows you to change; past journal dates are read only. You can contact us to request a correction.
- Delete it and revoke your authorization: delete whatever you want, or everything with “Delete my account”. If you want us to remove from the service the items you already deleted without deleting your account, write to us.
- Object to usage measurement: turn off “Share usage data”.
For anything else, use the request form or write to support@yutemi.app from your account's email. We only handle data requests that come from that address, so we never hand your data to someone else.
- Inquiries: we answer within 10 business days at most. If that's not possible, we explain why and answer within the following 5 business days.
- Claims (correction, update, deletion or non-compliance): we answer within 15 business days at most from when the claim is complete. If that's not possible, we explain why and answer within the following 8 business days.
If you live in the European Union
If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you are also protected by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In addition to the rights above, you can object to certain uses of your data, ask us to restrict its use and receive it in a file to take it to another service (portability). We always reply within the one month set by the GDPR, and you can complain to the supervisory authority of your country. The legal basis for each use, all your rights and the form to exercise them are in Your rights over your data.
Your authorization
By creating your account you accept this policy and authorize the processing of your data for the purposes it describes. That authorization includes the journal, which is optional: you decide whether and what to write in it. You can revoke it at any time by deleting your account or writing to us.
Minors
Yutemi is not intended for anyone under 13 and they must not create an account. People aged 13 to 17 need authorization from their mother, father or legal guardian to use it, and that guardian can ask us by email to access or delete their data. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we delete it.
Security
- Your data travels encrypted between your phone and the service, and is stored encrypted on your phone.
- Each account can only read and change its own data.
- Your password is stored as an encrypted digest that nobody can read.
- If you lose your phone, your data is still in the cloud: change your password with “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in screen and sign in on another device. We recommend using a screen lock.
No system is infallible. If an incident affects your data, we will let you know and report it to the authority as required by law.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date and note it in the change log. If the change affects the purposes or your rights, we will explain it clearly before it applies.
